How does IPL PRO work?

IPL PRO uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology to send light pulses into the skin, where the light is absorbed by the hair pigment and converted into heat. This heat damages the hair follicles and prevents them from growing further. The treatment is most effective during the active growth phase of the hair, and regular use will lead to a noticeable reduction in hair growth over time.

How do I use IPL PRO to get the best results?

To achieve the best results with IPL PRO, it is recommended to follow these steps:

Prepare the skin

Shave the area so the light can easily reach the hair roots. Avoid waxing or epilating, as the hair roots must remain intact.
Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free of lotion, perfume, and oil.

2. Start low and work your way up

Use energy level 1 or 2 the first few times to test your skin's reaction.
Then increase to a higher level (up to 5) if you experience no discomfort and want faster results.

3. Activate the cooling function

Press the ice button before treatment to activate the built-in Ice Cooling Technology, which helps make the treatment more comfortable.

4. Select mode: manual or auto

Manual: Press for each flash – ideal for small areas.
Auto/Gliding Mode: Hold the button down for 1–2 seconds and glide the device smoothly over larger areas.

5. Use regularly

Use IPL PRO 2 times a week for 8 weeks to target the hair in the correct growth phase.
After this, maintenance once every 1–2 months is recommended.

6. Avoid sun and irritation after use

Avoid sunbathing and use sunscreen in the days following treatment.
Feel free to use a soothing gel immediately after to moisturize the skin.

💡 Tip: Do not treat the same spot multiple times in a row – one flash per area is enough.

Is the treatment painful?

Most people only experience a mild warmth or tingling during treatment. IPL PRO has a built-in ice function that actively cools the skin during use and helps reduce discomfort. If you have a low pain threshold, it is recommended to start at the lowest intensity and optionally use a numbing cream before the treatment.

Which areas can I use IPL PRO on?

You can use it on your legs, arms, bikini line, stomach, underarms, and face (avoid the area around the eyes). It is gentle and designed for at-home use on the entire body.

Does it suit all skin and hair types?

IPL PRO works best on people with light to medium skin tones and dark hair. It is not suitable for very dark skin or very light, red, gray, or white hair. You can consult the chart in the manual to determine if your skin and hair type are compatible.

Does the IPL Pro have an automatic function?

Yes. You can choose between two modes:

Manual mode, where you activate each flash yourself.
Auto/Gliding mode, which is activated by holding the button down for 1–2 seconds. The device automatically emits flashes as it is glided over the skin – ideal for larger areas such as legs and arms.
